What is SIL?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is NDIS-funded support that helps you live as independently as possible, with assistance in your day-to-day life.

This may include:

  • Personal care (showering, grooming, dressing)

  • Meal planning, cooking, and shopping

  • Medication and health management

  • Household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and budgeting

  • Building social and community connections

  • Emotional and behavioural support

  • Overnight or 24/7 assistance (if needed)

We’ll work alongside you, your family, and your support network to design a plan that reflects your goals and supports your independence.

Our Approach

At Soul Support, we take a person-centred approach — putting your needs, preferences, and goals first.

Our homes and support environments are built on:

🌿 Growth: helping you develop life skills and confidence

🏠 Stability: providing consistency, safety, and structure

💛 Belonging: creating a genuine sense of home and community

Our team is compassionate, experienced, and trauma-informed — focused on helping you feel safe, respected, and empowered.

SIL for Youth & Young Adults

Transitioning from childhood or teenage years into adulthood is a big step — and we’re here to make it a positive one.

Our SIL services for youth and young adults focus on:

  • Learning independent living skills (budgeting, cooking, cleaning)

  • Developing confidence and decision-making abilities

  • Managing responsibilities and routines

  • Building social skills and friendships

  • Supporting education, training, or work goals

  • Creating a supportive first-home experience

We understand that every young person’s path is different. Our approach is flexible and encouraging — helping youth build independence at their own pace while feeling supported every step of the way.

SIL for Neurodivergent Participants

Soul Support proudly provides inclusive and individualised SIL for neurodivergent participants — including people with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and psychosocial conditions.

Our team understands that every brain works differently, and we tailor our support accordingly.

We focus on:

  • Creating calm, structured, and sensory-friendly home environments

  • Using visual aids, routines, and communication supports

  • Encouraging emotional regulation and independence

  • Collaborating with allied health professionals and families

  • Providing patient, understanding, and consistent care

Our goal is to help each person feel secure, respected, and empowered to thrive in their own space.
